Derick has been working in the flooring industry for over 17 years. He joined the Wade’s team in December 2010 and acquired the business in March 2017. Derick was born and raised in Bradenton, FL and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida. He enjoys giving back to his community and is the Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Bradenton Branch Manatee Family YMCA. When he is not at the office, Derick enjoys spending time with his two daughters. When it comes to how Derick feels about his customers, he was quoted in the Shaw Floors newsletter as saying, “It’s a privilege to serve and I don’t take that lightly”.
Tim comes to Wade’s Interiors to work in the Commercial Division. Tim obtained his Bachelor’s degree from University of Central Florida and then moved to Vegas to pursue a career fulfilling his dream as an acrobat in Le Reve – The Dream at Wynn Las Vegas, an industry favorite having been voted Best Production Show in Las Vegas for nine consecutive years. After eleven years, he is excited about returning to his hometown, and joining the Wade’s team. Tim loves the outdoors with fishing and boating being his favorites. He also enjoys working out to continue his healthy lifestyle.
Jim arrived in Sarasota from Rochester, New York, in 1987 with family, warm weather and white sandy beaches on his mind.
He attended the State College of Florida for his Property Management certification and worked in that profession for seven years. Wade’s Interiors has utilized his organizational talents as their Head of Operations for the last four years. He is responsible for running a tight ship in the warehouse and punctual product delivery to each customer.
Jim and his wife Cheryl enjoy the outdoors. They are avid campers, hikers and bikers. Pizza is king in New York, and Jim loves his share of pizza, although he has a Midwest taste for steak and potatoes as well.
Jim’s love of the outdoors started in his youth. He played softball and rotated between third base and pitcher. His softball days may be over, but he is a loyal Yankee’s fan except when they are playing the Rays. Then he dons a Yankee shirt and cap, but proudly cheers for his home state team!
Jennifer specializes in residential interior design. She has extensive knowledge of Hunter Douglas window products and treatments, along with wood, vinyl and tile flooring options. Her 30 years of design experience has made her an expert in solving any design, budget or functionality challenge.
She prides herself on ensuring every client receives her best work and is completely satisfied with the finished product.
Jennifer is from Springfield, Ohio. She has an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Columbus Business University, and a BA in Interior Design from Ohio State University. She also has graduated from Shaw Flooring Institute of Technology.
Jennifer and her husband, James, live in Bradenton. They enjoy spending time with their six children, five grandchildren and dog, Gracie!
Jackie joined Wade’s Interiors in 2005. She holds a degree as a dental assistant from Manatee Vocational Institute. She has worked in the health care industry as the department secretary manager for the radiology department, the secretary for the respiratory department and in the sleep lab department at Blake Medical Center.
In the community, Jackie and her husband have volunteered at the Southeastern Guide Dogs Program. She enjoys crafting, sewing, walking, hiking, biking and traveling to North Carolina. Their trips on the Harley Davidson are a favorite!
Jackie and her husband attend Woodland Community Church and have one daughter.
Donald C. Spencer is a flooring specialist that wants to work with you to find the right floor covering for your home or business. Don’s experience in retail and customer service has helped him understand what is important in building relationships with customers, and that is ensuring that you are happy with the look and feel of your new floors.
Don was excited to join the team at Wade’s four years ago and during his time here has acquired a broad knowledge of tile, carpet, wood, and wood look floor coverings. He is passionate about finding the perfect option for your home or business.
When not here, Don spends time with his wife and three children, serves as Deacon at his church and has for years tried to rid his golf game of a nasty slice.
Kathy joined Wade’s in 2015. She has over 25 years’ experience in front desk administrative support services. Kathy received a BA in Education from Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.
She is an active member of Bradenton Christian Reformed Church, assisting with youth fundraisers and accompanying the senior choir.
Outside of the office, Kathy coached volleyball for Bradenton Christian School and Manatee Area Volleyball. She enjoys sports, working in her yard and family vacations.
Kathy has been married to her husband Gary for 45 years and has two children and three grandchildren.
Karen has been part of our team at Wade’s since 2011 and offers a one-on-one product selection service to our builder’s clients as well as our retail customers. She also stays involved with each project, often visiting the job sites.
For over 20 years, Karen has worked in all phases of the building industry. Although holding a degree in early education, home design is still her passion.
Karen and her husband of 30 years have raised three children in Manatee County. They enjoy participating in family sporting events such as baseball, kayaking and horseback riding. Her family also spends time volunteering for their local community church.
Larry obtained an Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ohio college of Applied Science in 1969. Larry moved to Florida in 1975 and has been in the flooring industry for over 35 years. He’s experienced in retail, commercial and builders which gives Larry a wide knowledge of the buying experience.
Larry has been married to his wife Mary for 50 years. When he’s not spending time with his daughters and 2 grandchildren he loves to fish and travel to new places.
Larry played softball in the county league for 30 years and coached the girl’s softball in county league for 14 years. He was also president of the girl’s softball league for 5 years. He attends Trinity Lutheran church.
